So we all love a good cocktail, and this recipe is one of our favorites.
Created by Peter Dircks from Minneapolis, Minnesota, this cocktail is a perfect fusion of the classic bourbon Manhattan recipe with nuanced flavors and depth.
As Peter describes..."combing two different bourbons in any Manhattan is a good idea to enjoy the mixture of flavors. In this case, you can taste both the woodiness of the Woodford combined with the sweetness of the 1792. Then, I use only high quality sweet vermouth and cherries because that can make or break the drink. Finally, combining a small amount of cherry sauce (from the Luxardo jar) with the typical Angostrura bitters and then adding the chocolate and orange bitters provides a depth of smell and taste my friends and I love".
